As a consumer dog product expert, Susan is up to date on the latest trends for dogs. She and her current pack Baldwin and Bliss, have their own iPhone application DIY Doggie, a guide to unique things you can do with your dog to keep them in optimal health on a physical, emotional and spiritual level. They also have their own web store, www.alphadogshopper.com where they review all products before they recommend them.
Susan has a background in journalism graduating with a degree from San Diego University. She is a member of the Dog Writers Association of America. Her short story, Growing Up Dog Wierd, will be published in the Fall of 2010 in Angel Animal Network's "True Stories of the Bond Between Dogs and the Women Who Love Them."
As the LA Pet Reporter for examiner.com, Susan's column has become widely popular as the place to find out about the most current products and trends in the pet industry. She and her pets are also sought out to appear as guests on television shows reviewing products and services.
Baldwin and Bliss are therapy dogs in Los Angeles and visit the children in the Oncology Ward at USC Hospital and Children of the Night. They work with the Los Angeles Fire Department visiting Elementary Schools providing live fire prevention awareness demonstrations. In 2007, they were asked by Pedigree Pet Food to attend the World Dog Games in Mexico City where 100,000 people a day admired the talented canines who competed in agility. Baldwin is a Puli and Bliss is an Australian Shepherd. They live happily with their feline sister Cyd the Cat the Contessa de Calico and their 30-year old cockatiel brother Boy George.
